Well im just finishing some things off, so i told you all that i will be joining you at 9.

No harm done? ;)

Actually I was referring to the strange phenomenon of everyone turning up on time, then sitting around for a while in case someone else is running late.  The result is that everyone runs late and the hop doesn't start until 15 minutes later!

It's a fair comment, I try to turn up 10 mins early for these flights so that I can get set up, engine warmed up, flight planned, radio's set - all so that we can leave on time. Ok, I don't mind waiting 5 mins for stragglers, but when we're still sat at the departure airport 15-20 mins later it becomes a bit of a joke.

I think from now on, if the flight is due to start at 8:30, then I will wait until 8:35 & no later before departing. I know that if I turned up late I would just accept I was late & play 'catch up' for a bit.

Cheers,

TSC.

If this happens again.. try to remember the nickname of the user you are trying to connect. You can indentify the user when the connection fails after an attempt. Flightsim gives a message
"user01 has left the session" for example. So you can see
who causes this problem.. and drop me a line !

??? you lost me there...If theres a website that shows the stats like wspilots then could we not just look at the last person to join and that should be the person that doesnt have open ports. i didnt get a message user 01 has left the session, I got a "all users can not connect" message >:(

Thats cool James - pre-planned lateness is excuseable, you even posted that you were gonna be late so that people wouldn't wait around for you - now't wrong with that.

Cheers,
