How about including a dogfight with two flyers in classic warplanes....or pick a time theme, all planes at the show from the same era kind of thing....

It wouldn't always need to be a carefully structured airshow, you could just hold a rally one afternoon.  Pick a theme, say WW1, and compile a list of a dozen or so popular aircraft to downloaded from that era - Camel, Triplane, Eindekker, DH-2, etc.  Then people can drop in whenever they get the opportunity, and if someone wants to put on a display or set up a dogfight then they're welcome to organise it themselves.  Keep it low key and informal.

I think I may turn up next time. I'll have a proper computer by then so I'll be able to buy FS9. :)

Was it just me or was the servers only letting on about 18 players at a time? Because I've connected to ws pilot quite often before and on the day of the airshow i spean about an hour and couldn't connect to the server everyone else was on  :'(
I think this is low poly http://www.rwy12.com/rwy12/modules.php? ... cle&sid=11  altough it comes as a rwy 12 object library the fence placer tool appears in your aircraft list andshouldnt cause too much lag, and i you dont need rwy 12 to use the fence placer ( i dont think)
Or you could make a really small object in gmax just for spectating ( like a sphere) if someone knows how to incorporate it into fs.

No NOT a sphere. Spheres are the worst thing you could possibly make for that purpose. A cube will have 6 polys, and 6 polys only. A good sphere with a 3 inch on-screen diameter can have thousands.

Also, I realised that Windows Firewall was interfering with my connection to the 23458 server. Even if it's only temporary, TURN OFF your Windows Firewall/Anti-Virus programs if you want it to be hassle free.

If you know the names of the people on the server during the times you cannot connect, PM me (those names) and I will do a port scan to see who may have their ports closed. :D

OPENNING PORTS is not hard at all! Make sure they are open so everyone can have an enjoyable experience! :D

Nice work with the Router Tutorial, eno. :P
