connect on multiplay

Postby luke » Fri Apr 15, 2005 4:23 pm

After reinstalling  WinXP and fs9, now cannot connect on fs9 multiplay.

Tried various valid IP addrs, but search will not find any.

Also, how do you get to see other planes on fs9 screen, after joining, and on FS Navgtr after joining in options ?

Thnx Eno, it did it this time, though many times was working OK with the firewall.

Glad to hear that solved the problem ...... I would disable the windows firewall completely and download something like Zone Alarm it's much easier to configure.

You could also allow the correct exceptions through it, though I vote for Eno's method of getting rid of it all together..;)

Eno,
unfortunately again search will not connect to any multiplay session, even without McFee & AVG.

I know use Free Zone Alarm. and the same story.

Anything else I could do ?

Are you behind a router?
Great edit, Bob.

I figured.  I've been closely monitoring this thread so that I can swoop in at the last minute and come off as the hero.  Timing is everything.  LOL

If you don't know, I'm going to guess that you're not.  (99.9% of the time, people know if they are.)

So I'm stumped.  So much for hero status.  lol

HA ha, just disconnected Zone Alarm & AVG again and managed to connect in fs9 & fsNavgtr multiplay, and see other aircraft.

Beats me why I could not connect before,

Thnxs for the interest

BUT, als, with Zone Alarm running IE pages show
"No Page to display", and have to SW it off to view any sites.  Mcfee free Firewal was not doing this.

Where do I go wrong?
