Dire Help

Postby Foxtrot Sport » Thu Jul 08, 2004 6:32 pm

I have been flying by my lonesome on FS 02 for a while, but haven't been able to long onto Multiplayer.  I konw this sounds stupid but what are hte two protocol options?  Also, how am i supposed to hook up to the multiplayer thing.  Should i use 'zone.com'  or something else. Thanx ;D

TCP/IP is the protocol thats used for multiplayer connections.

You can use "The Zone" but this isn't the quickest or easiest way of connecting to a multiplayer session. I would suggest downloading FSHostspy from http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshostspy. This program shows all the multiplayer sessions hostied on FSHost.. Simply copy the IP for the session you are interested in and paste it into the IP box in the multiplayer section of FS. If you wish to start your own session then simply download FSHost from the same site and follow the instructions.
Hope this helps.... give me a shout if you want any more help.

cheers

Hey thanx.  But, with the TCP/IP protocol highlighted, I copy one of the IP addresses into the the box that you would put it in, and click search.  It waits a few seconds and then just resumes.  Nothing shows up in the sessions box.  Am i doing something wrong or is it my internet?  I have DSL btw. Thanx :)
