Known problem. Fix is coming, but i have no idea what the progress is.
OK first the checklist (there is one in the readme, but that listst the actual values and not the buggy ones in FS)
For any operation on the ground, (and anything under normal cruise levels): open the cowl flaps completely. Don't keep them shut as the manual says unless the temperature gauge refuses to move on 40% RPM setting.
Don't takeoff with the temperature in the 'high' yellow, because you can't make enough speed to get the engine to cool down enough to climb to a cruise altitude.
Max Cruise: max throttle, prop at the big marker at 70%. At the moment this is the maximum climb setting that doesnt overheat, and the maximum cruise setting that doesnt go into overspeed at small wind changes.
Lowest Eco cruise: throttle to around 750mbar then lower pitch to the 60% maker.
As soon as there is a way to fix it i'll post an update, but it seems they are going for a full update path instead of fixing the dynamics (as the temperature stuff works reasonably well inflight)
