Banging my head against the wall

Postby Boikat » Sat Jan 22, 2011 12:03 pm

I'm having a devil of a time finding some of my favorite downloads, like the BLT-A4 "Y-Wing", and scads of others. I'm positive I DL'd it from Simviation.  I DL'd one from another site (which shall remain nameless), however it had a currupt .cfg file. :P

I'm not sure, but it seems like the "Search" is not accessing the "old" system down load files. I would have thought using "Y-Wing" or BLT-A4 would have gotten a hit, but it doesn't, and paging through the pages would take forever.

Help!
SOS!
Mayday!

Thanks!  It may be moot, for the time being.  My insurance company put me up in a hotel suite with "wi fi", and downloading anything seems to be a "no-go". But, being a public network, it may be a time of day thing. :(

In the meantime, does this post by TR in the CFS 2 board help?

Hi,

Everything (all our files) should be in the new site. It could be the search term does not match the file description - or you could ver unlucky and have chosen one of the 5 pages that did not convert into the new system (out of more than 4000) (I am adding these files manually - have done most and only aware of one page now that requires adding)

It is worth varying the search terms - also if you can remember the author name or any other words that may help.

"Unlucky" is likely, all things considered. :P

I've used the search terms of 'BLT-A4", "Y-Wing", "Piglett", "Tim Conrad" "Star Wars".  No joy.  I'm pretty sure it was available from the SV downloads.
