.... is simply TOO close to the MODIFY button  LOL

Ok, so I am old and sometimes miss the target but it would really be nice to either have a "ARE YOU SURE" flag on the delete button, or move it to another spot if that is possible.

When I have done it on quick posts in the past it wasnt that bad and the first time I wiped out a 5000 character post forever it was anoying but since then I have nailed 3 big posts and a freeware thread starter which has now exceeded my patience. I know its my own fault for hitting the wrong spot on the screen but if someone could look into what could be done to make the delete button a bit safer for old and blind users that would be great.

::)

Been there, done that... :P  What I will do if I find I'm making a pretty long post is open MS Word and cut/paste the text as a temporary backup, then delete it when done.  It's saved my bacon several times...

Nick,

It's part of the YABB software.  I don't think it is configurable.

Maybe the next version will take care of it.  You do have a good point.

It is really silly to have the IGNITION button right next to the FUEL DUMP button and neither have a safety on them.

LOL!
So true!! ;D ;D

Fortunately a web forum doesn't have you crashing to a firey death if you push the wrong button ...  :D

This could be edited by a good perl coder ... but not within Admin options. Layout is set.

As John said - new version coming out that may address this
(remember MS programs have delete & paste right next to each other in the the Edit dropdown list & who hasn't hit the wrong option there too? :) )
