Spell checker

Postby expat » Sat Nov 11, 2006 12:02 pm

Just a quick question, I noticed today that when I write a post  in the compose window before posting, and I spell a word incorrectly I get a nice red line under it to indicate the incorrect spelling. Yesterday I upgraded Firefox to the latest version, so my question is: Has Firefox "added" something to web based inputs or is this part of the new server here at SimV. What ever the answer it is a great feature.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

The Google Toolbar has a similar option in IE6. (I haven't installed IE7.) Spell checkers could be useful in some circumstances but they can't distinguish between similar sounding words. That's the most common error I've noticed on this forum & the Internet as a whole. In fact it seems to be getting worse.
