YABB Software question ... Pete or anyone

A friend has started a RC aircraft forum here using Simple Machines.

He is already considering upgrading it and asked for suggestions (he's looking at IPB and phpBB).

I remembered this great forum which I have been on for years and never seen a problem, so ...

How do you  like the software?  Any problems?

How easy is it to edit scripts?  (I don't know what this means but he asked me to ask you.)

Yabb is a great forum. Hard to edit scripts but there are plenty of enthusiasts there to help on the Yabb forum.  

There is a new version available too. (There IS a problem for us upgrading that has yet to be resolved but that would not apply to any forum with less than 200K posts. So I wouldn't dismiss Yabb based on that experience)
