30,000 Members

Postby Wii » Thu Feb 19, 2009 9:53 pm

We're currently five members away from having 30,000 members. :)
What's so important about 30,000? Simv is pretty darn big. :)

30.000 members. What if they all started to post 1 message a day?

Here's to 30.000 members  [smiley=beer.gif]

Of those 29,997... How many of them actually regularly post?

There's maybe a few dozen members who I recognise as regulars. SimV might be getting big with members, but there's only a few who make the effort on a regular basis to post.

Just missed the 30k mark! (30,001 heheh)
Yes, but usually the ones that do sign up usually post at least once which is what keeps people in the FSX/FS9 section all going. Haha! I try to avoid those threads. ;D

Yep, it's a lot. But so few really do post, as said above. Which is good and bad I suppose. Good because if 30,000 people posted everyday, SimV wouldn't be the community we know, and it would be much harder to regulate content. But bad because so many of those people that sign up and don't even post once are really missing out.

8-)

Sim V is certainly the most active Forum of all the various Flight Sim, etc, Forums I regularly visit each day.... :-*...!

You can pretty-well guarantee an almost instant response to a Sim V Post...

...(instead of waiting for days, weeks, months....never!)... :'(...!

...which is nice... :)...!

This is about the only forum I frequent anymore, other than work related ones.  I was one of those silent members for years, as the busyness of life kept my online time to a minimum.

Pete will tell you that only a tiny percentage of Simviation users are forum members. 30,000 is the total membership of this forum since it was first started in 2001. As has been pointed out, a lot of those members might have posted once or not at all. Most of the old regulars have moved on since then so it doesn't really mean much.

Having been with both Firms from the beginning, (plus a few others), I must admit Sim V gets 10/10 for light-hearted Humour every time!.... ;)...!
