Hi BMan... ;D...!
I've always thought this to be an excellent idea, and as you say, it has been mentioned here before.
I am pretty sure that our Yabb, (bulletin board), program already has a built-in Members Map facility, which adds another icon to the Forum Header..
It has been utilised on other sites.
It enables you to place a flag, (containing your details), on a map of the world.
It was an excellent way of finding a fellow member quickly in your area of the world.

Cheers...
Paul.

I think Pete knows about this request from the past, and commented on it at the time.
I don't remember what the outcome was tho'...?

The KRON4.com Forum which I used in the past, used a YaBB program which contained the facility for enabling a member to place a flag on the map of the world which was displayed on the screen after clicking on an Icon in the Forum header under "Members".

Cheers...

I went and registered to see how this thing works.....I think its a fine addition to a forum for the inquisitive geo-challenged members...........I, for one, would like to see this feature added...........
Now I even know the general area of where B'man resides, and you can check out my location on it also.......cheers !

The problem is - as far as I've been told - it won't work with this version of forum.....

There is an upgrade coming out somewhere on the horizon - so maybe ....  :D

I agree - it's a nice touch for regulars & newcomers alike ......

No problem installing MemberMap on your SP 1 Board. If any problems just post in the troubleshooting thread on my board (the one linked in BMan's first post.
