System bug

Postby ozzy72 » Sat Jul 17, 2004 12:35 pm

Pete there appears to be a wee bug somewhere in the system, its manifesting itself in post counts, Felix has just passed the 54000 mark, and as he was only at about 4k odd when I went out 5 hours ago I'd guess there is a bug in the system :o ;D Either that or he has done the biggest single spamming in the history of SimV ;D ;D ;D

I would put it down to one of those one off things that seem to happen in the dark & murky world of the internet & programming.

I would be concerned if there were irradic things going on - but there don't seem to be ... ;)

I have worked with forum software a couple times in the past that were very simular to YABB.  If I remember right, anyone with moderator or administrator power can alter anyones post count.  If this program is the same as the one I worked with, look in your profile.  You should be able to edit your post count just like you can edit your location.

What's going on?  54060 to 100?  I didn't know post counts could decrease.
