I think it was too hard.

It looked as if your final approach had a too high of a decent speed, or you were too fast. Try having the nose a couple of adegrees higher on final approach, with a decent rate of 700 to 800 feet per minute. Flare when relatively low to the runway to make a soft landing.

A decent rate of 700 to 800 fpm is to high, it should be more around 1 to 200 fpm to keep it soft.

I meant final approach. Not touchdown.

Flare depends on plane........ and I don't really know myself...... I just.... do it.

Just curious...;)...

..my first question would be...

Have you spent any hours perfecting ALL your Flying and Navigation skills in the Cessna 172 Trainer first, and working up from there, before attempting the Heavy Passenger Jets?

So many of our new Simmers jump straight into the the heavy "stuff" before gaining their Pilots Licence in the Trainers first... ;)...!

Thanks for replying.
Yes, I have trained on Cessnas and Bombaiders.

Is there a kind of checklist before landing and when to brake and flare?
::)

Its always well worth studying the; "Aircraft Owners Handbook" before entering any (Sim) Aircraft.... ;)..!

All the details for operating the Aircraft are contained there.

It is often included as a .pdf file in the Downloaded File, and sometimes on the Pilots Knee-board within the Aircraft!

Vital reading!..... :)...!

I didn't see the carrier!

Yeah, that was a little hard for a 747. I believe the 747 is flared a bit more than most of the Boeing jets. At least that's what the videos look like I've seen comparing the 747 and other types.
