...
The relevant issue is that the dubbed in music in Faith Hope Charity is too loud and there is too much of it. What part of this don't you understand? .....
You asked for critiques more than once and now you get all bent out of shape because you got some critiques. :o
....

Not 'bent out of shape' at all about 'your' critique.

I'm quite sure you don't sit through every movie in it's entirety, especially those you decide you hate half way through it.

It is your god given right to like or hate any movie Mr. troll #5.

As far as sitting through every movie myself...sure I have fallen asleep on many (paid for a ticket to see it) movie.

This movie is free of charge to you and for everyone else.
The 9 people who help make this movie did it out of love of the Flight Sim they fly and wanting share their creative efforts in making a film.

You say you hate it...fine...please tell why you hated it??  Audio portion again?

Talking about background music or music scores.  I will agree with you that I don't necessary like music through out any film/movie period.

Be as it may...we learned from our mistakes from making virtual films and hopefully our next film will be a lot better.

This was my second movie where I was the SFX Sound Editor/Sound Foley Editor for FH&C.  My job was simply to add all the real SFX, and ambiance sounds.  I was an rookie for this film and I know I made many many mistakes.

I was not the final mixer when it came to balancing the SFX sounds with the music score however.  Blackace was and he did this best that he could.

Bottom line we (Wingman Productions guys), are proud on what we accomplished on this film and [glow=yellow,2,300]no one here[/glow] can take that away from us. :)

Best Regards

Re: "Music" videos.

Those few that complain obviously do not know what is really meant by a music video.  That is one in which the music is the primary purpose and any visuals are there for "eye candy" or to illustrate the music.

What they seem to be complaining about is the use of a musical score to establish a mood or to emphasize the action.  Far from being the work of amateurs, almost every film, video, documentary, or even educational work uses a musical score.  This are invariably produced by rather highly-paid professionals.

It would seem that one or two arrogant soreheads would like to dictate how everyone else makes videos while ignoring or denying the realities of the majority.

My suggestion to them is, make your own videos, post them and see how well they are received by the world in general.  They could also create their own website for their no-music videos.  I doubt they would be missed here.

I just watched Faith, Hope, and Charity.  By far, it is the best video I have ever seen made with any flight simulator.  Yes, at times, the background music was a little too powerful.  But it was at all times appropriate and did match the mood and scenes of the film.

Speaking from personal experience, it is often very difficult to get the audio balance you intend.  You think you have it right and after rendering, it comes out differently that what you wanted.

That aside, this is a monumental effort and anyone that is not tremendously impressed had best be able to show a better video.  Otherwise, their credibility is going to be more than suspect.

As far as I am concerned, this video is a 10 all the way.  The features of IL2 are exploited beyond anything I would have believed possible.  In fact, there were many features there that I did not know existed.  These guys need to make a "How it was done" video for the rest of us.

Exactly what does Roger Ebert have to do with anything being discussed here?  As far as I know, he has never criticized any amateur videos nor has he ever said that background music has no place in any production.  I am sure he has criticized the choice of music or how it was used, but that is not the same thing at all.  Perhaps you would like to check with him on this to get some facts.  He no doubt has a web site.

You might also note that when someone resorts to irrelevancies, insults, and name calling, they are admitting they have no facts, logic or anything intelligent to offer.  At that point, most people will start ignoring them and dismiss anything they might have to say on any subject as without credibility.

Critics are permitted here but perhaps when you think "Moron idiot" is not an insult, you are not a critic but simply someone working at being as obnoxious as possible.

When have you ever heard Ebert use such terms.  FYI, he has reviewed amateur films and student productions.  Apparently you are as uninformed as first appears.  But facts have no relevance when your only intent is to insult and attempt to intimidate.

You can always win everything all the time when you have no competition.
You have all proved your deceit and lack of credibility by censoring everything that proves how bad you are and how you are just a pack of mental midgets. Enjoy your world behind your Berlin wall.
