1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Renewable energy indeed... they're going to have to renew that turbine  for starters.. :D
On my holiday last year on the Norfolk coast we were close to a huge offshore windfarm (Scroby sands) and the weather was so bad we were wondering what would happen in this exact scenario.. thanks for answering that one Matt  8-)

I see plenty of these windmills every day when I drive to and from work and I often wondered what would happen if they got out of control. I asked an engineer working on one, one day and he assured me that these things do have brakes. Above a certain windspeed the computer inside the windmill simply stops the rotor and turns it away from the direction of the wind. He didn't say what would happen when the brakes failed....

Still better than a disastrous failure of any other kind of power-generating station...
