Well it just goes to show Britain has its own collection of half-wits with driving licences (thanks for these Steve) ;D

Stopping people from entering streets they shouldn't. In the UK a lot of High Streets in towns are only accessible to buses. So they stop cars as they don't have the radio tag that makes 'em drop to allow access.

Those bollards are nasty!! Wouldn't of thought they would pop up so quick!! I would have just nipped around the side of them, seems to be enough space!!

Seems weird a driver would try and get on a road that no cars are allowed on. he would stand out like a sore thumb for the coppers.

Idiot drivers, yep. Had a REALLY dumb one today. Was with my instructor and I wanted to overtake this cyclist. He said no because of the corner was too near. So I slowed down. then out of nowhere this woman hurtled past me and the cyclist into the corner blind. My instructor was seething. I didn't know what to say. She risked everyone's life, just so stupid. I hope I never feel confident enough to do something so dumb.

Here's a clue: every time  a bus approaches, they go down. Then they go back up.

That would only work if you were actually paying attention and saw the big warning sign.
A tall order for many people, it seems...   ::)
