thank you sir. I'll probably give it a go tomorrow, you can also google the new silverstone layout and thats worth a download.
I'll have a play around with setups aswell over the weekend and pass some on to you if your still having trouble.

Would be brilliant mate :) love F1 just not that technical about cars :P Although i have a feeling I just need to learn the tracks and the car. Keep braking far to early.

Rfactor is very weird in its handling model. I think that comes down to each mod individually. So far the best one I have found, is the MMG F1 2007 mod. That just seems to be the closest to what I can imagine an F1 car being like.
A lot of the others, the cars just seem unnessicarily twitchy. The FsOne mod is really good, with some nice differances in cars, the Brawn and Red bulls are by far the easiest to drive, the ferrari is very twitchy under braking.
Do you use a Wheel and Pedals or a pad?
Also what settings do you have on? Like Traction control, damage? braking and steering assistance and so on.

My basic way of setups, I first of all go into the fuel and set it down to 10 litres, so you get an idea of the car at low fuel, I'll then go into the sliders menu, set the speed/accel to slightly towards acceleration, Then I'll have the downforce again slightly towards speed, and the car set slightly to understeer and also softer rather than harder on the ride.
This will give you a good base, do a couple of laps, see where your speed is at the end of the tracks longest straight, if you are not hitting the predicted top speed in setup menu, then move the gearing towards acceleration, no point having a top speed of 200mph when you can only hit 190mph. Same with the downforce, if your finding the car going straight on in the corners, just add a little more to it.  It takes time but once you get it right it feels good. :)

No probs, personally I use a PS3 pad. I find them much simpler to use. And when I have used a wheel I've never noticed the differences some people waffle on about lol.
I'll give the 2010 mod a go after work, I am looking forward to it  :)

also :) from what i can see is that is is just 'pretty pants' i think it is because the wheels are bigger not smaller...but i cant say that for sure....also in the red bull or toro rosso it has the 2009 FIA plate...

I actually would say this is a very good mod. The cars are driveable, they dont accelerate to quickly or slowly, the 0-100mph-0mph is spot on as proof.
The Merc so far is my favourate, its not a quick in general as the red bull, but It's a lot less twitchy.

The thing is its just FIRL 2009 with paint for the different teams. If you look at the virgin racing nose its the same as the toyota in 2009.

wait till wcp releases 2010 and you will be amazed :)
