...all I gotta say is that there is a bright spark over at UBI that didn't think you'd need a compass for a naval simulator.

In my opinon its a steaming pile of crap. Its an RPG, not a sub simulator. its got health bars for ships an deck gun projectile paths lines. Its just a huge piece of s@#t

What's Silent Hunter 4 like?

Silent Hunter 4 out of the box is ok. It is excellent with the user mods such as Real Fleet Boat.  there is even a mod that adds the atlantic. If your thinking of getting it get the Gold Edition.

IMO, SH3 had better playability than SH4... but I never tried any mods with it...

I was disappointed that both SH games I played had trouble with triple screen resolutions...
