Oh, I'd also have to recommend S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl. It will run very well on your system (I completed the game with about 9FPS on a laptop).
A brilliant first-person-shooter, where realism meets science-fiction. Post-apocalyptic setting in which Chernobyl suffers a second accident, set in 2012. Very atmospheric, and conveys the feeling of fear, more than most other games that I have played.
Thinking on your feet is required. Radiation poisoning? No antirads or vodka? Find some quick. Low on rifle ammo? You better be damned good with a pistol or knife.
With such a large (but linear) world, you may do anything you like to accomplish the objective, and careful planning does pay off. Stealth works to an extent, and you will regret not moving slowly and scanning with your binoculars.
Overall, when it is night time, you have no rifle ammo left, you are bleeding and have no night-vision, you have no idea when you will run into a mutant or pocket of radiation, it is probably the most intense sci-fi experience out there.

Lol at the i7 not being a miracle.
