i just didnt get on with it, annoyed me the AI was pants, did you ever see a banzai go for any one other than you?? if they had made that lil bit of AI a bit better then it would of been so much better, its just small things like that which made it pants for me.

oh and the ending, how crap! why would 1 german be on the roof like that.... WTF, trying for something epic... yeh it was a steaming pile!

I did not buy it based on the reviews. It came as a bonus with my new Nvidia 285 graphics card and I love it! Multiplayer is a blast. I especially love the release the hound perk. When you reach a certain level you can let the german shepards go and hunt out your enemy. There is nothing like hiding behind something and hearing those dogs coming across the battlefield hoping they are not coming for you!!!

Because they all like the stupid modern warfare.

Not that I dont think #4 is a great one but I love the World War II games and im disapointed Call of Duty is going towards the modern warfare crap.

I dunno, I think the setting for CoD4 was a good thing. Hopefully though it'll stay as a WWII set game from now on. North Africa or Italy? Battle of France as a Brit scenario?

They've basically exhausted most scenarios by now. I can't think of anything new in WWII, but a Korean or Vietnam one would be cool. Or even WWI.

Unfortunatly the COD guys already have the next setting for there next COD game.

After all the awards they got for the first I see why they are doing it again. Im extremly dissapointed when I heard that news. In my opinion COD 3 was the best shooting game ive played and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas.

Tcco, WAW is MW with WWII styled weapons. Some of us like the streamlined looks of the G36, while others...love the Kar (although, the MG42 is quite nice).

Modern warfare is a ridiculously fascinating thing. The amount of equipment that is part of the SOPMOD program for the M4...from Eotechs to PEQ-2s, it is quite an amazing era.

WWII, is very difficult to recreate on small maps with only 64 players, although BF1942 did a good job. WWII was a LARGE scale war, however today, in the Middle East, you will see it fought in smaller sectors...urban combat.

Also, Infinity Ward don't make games purely for the awards. They make games for the money. And according to what the public wants. There have been plenty of WWII games already, and they are moving to modern warfare (which in NO way means futuristic "crap").
