Classic UT gamelay is what most people like about UT. Take this away and you no longer have UT.
In fact there are some on the UT BETA forum who claim that the new UT does not have classic UT game play to their dismay.
Personally. I think it does and wiil be getting UT3.
UT has always been one of my favorate titles.

There are times when only UT classic Deathmtch or CTF will do. Yes, it's sometimes mindless fun but, I guess that is the underlying attraction of UT.

FSX is my main passion but, I still like a good frag match,

i agree with you entirely, UT is CTF, DM and TDM. none of the vehicle malarky. and IMO the origional UT is the best out of them all. i will not be getting UT3 because once the novelty has worn of for all the new players their will be no more vehicle or warfare servers it will be classic UT but your system is having a bit of trouble when you have 10 people all jumping bouncing and fragging at the same time. and in the beta i noticed you can no longer do double jumps or things
