Speaking from experience, I've cleaned quite a few bugs from Schweizer 300s at my Dad's helicopter repair shop in Amarillo, TX back in 1990.
I've also had the pleasure of flying in one of them with the doors off 8-)

Not as low as usual, but it's not 30,000 feet.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
