[size=18]Welcome to Time Pilot. The objective here is to select an event from the past, present or future that aircraft of any type played a major role, then create a screenshot accurately depicting that event. You can take up to three journeys in the time machine, creating three screenshots and posting them in this

Danny,

Could you please clarify the definition of "non-edited" screenshots?

Thanks.

Non-edited means after the shot is taken, there can be no altering the pic, apart from cropping. ie. sharpening, adjusting hue, color density. It must be the raw shot.  :)

Do all three have to be posted at the same time? Also, if we can do future shots, how do we include historical accuracy?

So cropping is okay, as opposed to the standard resizing?

Cropping is fine. As far as historical accuracy for shots in the future, we'll replace the word historical with imaginative. Create your own "history".

Here is my first one.

Testing the F/A-37.

April 7th, 2027

Image

Three prototype F/A-37 Talons get ready for flight testing at Edwards AFB. The Talon is the newest Advanced Tactical Fighter to come off the Lockheed-Boeing lines, designed to replace the aging F-22 for the Air Force and fill a niche in the Navy left open by the retirement of the F-14 in 2006. Military planners have said that this may be the last manned fighter in the inventory, with the rising use of advanced UCAVs. After the U.S. - EU war, America is now the unquestioned leader in military technology.

My Salute to Pancho Barnes - 1953

http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/PanchoBarnes032909.jpg

After the War Edwards Air Force Base became the main research center investigating flight at high mach numbers and high altitudes.  A new breed of test pilots arrived to fly the rocket powered X-series of research aircraft.  The pilots lived a highly stressful life and Pancho's provided the place to relax and unwind.

What a start Aussie! Your layout is superb, great bit of aviation history with a gorgeous aircraft. Bravo!!!
specter, great shot as well, but how about adding a line or two describing the event?

AAHHHHH !!! >:(

i thought i saw somewhere that is was allowed, but i geuss not.

sorry clip, scratch one, I'm back to zero. :(

edit:

but i would like to open up this can o worms. MY point being that there are so many events in aviation history that can't be represented by simply an un-edited screenshot. this shot for exaple, the hindenburg burning, space schuttle columbia blowing up.

If clip would allow it, I would like to modify the rules. One of our three submited can be edited..... :-/

I really didn't want this comp to become an editing competition, but J, you've come up with a great solution. One of the three submitted shots can be edited.
