Airliners Tip

Postby a1 » Wed Oct 10, 2007 6:39 pm

Does anybody have tips on taking screenshots with commercial airliners? I seem to can't find good ideas for them except when they are on landing or takeoff. There is really nothing that is cool to take a screenshot of them while in cruise. On the other hand GA aircraft is much easier because they look good and cool anywhere.

All tips are welcomed.

Thanks

For cuise, I like to get really up close and personal. One thing you'll find about me is I am OK with wing cutoffs, but NOT engine cutoffs.

Always look down when shooting cruise unless there are some really catchy cirrus clouds above you. All the good stuff is below you.

Try and get some action in the plane, like shoot when the plane is turning, and try to level the camera with the current bank angle of the wings for even more drama, but only when applicable.

Go for very agressive angles when in cruise to help liven up the shot.

Uncommon liveries or unique birds are always nice to see. I like to fly the Boeing 767, but that is not a very camera friendly plain, it's too plane. (Bad pun intended ::) ::))

A1, I enjoy trying to create abstract pics with commercials, disguise the scenery so it takes on a different look, something like this..

Or birds eye view through cloud covers is fun...here's one...

Scenery is probably default something Ashar. I took it many months ago and really can't remember.
