I was wondering how you do your cut-outs? Ive been having trouble getting the job done with Paint.net... and I want to be able to get back to doing composites

Either draw a path around the object and convert it into a selection or if you're lucky, the "magic wand" tool will do its job.

I tryed "Magic wand" but all it does is take away the background and leaves the plane.. and when I draw a path around I do a very bad job

You just gotta take some time and do a good job  ;) If i have to cut out a plane for an edit well it will probably take about 1/2 and hour.....
