welcome to my first tutorial on the V
this tutorial woll teach you how to make this hitman sig
Image

1. create a new canvas 400 x 99

2.press "D" to reset your colours, and fill your canvas with white (#ffffff)

3. next you will need your render. for this im going to use a picture from hitmanfound here (but you can use anything you like real. but you may need to be able to cut it out) in this example we need to, so simply open it in photoshop, and useing the  magic erasor "E" to get rid of any background" set the tolerance to about 25%

4.open the picture up in photoshop, and then copy it across to your canvas.

5.press V to select the move tool and move the picture so you can see a part of it on the canvas.
Image

6.next we need to resize the image, go
edit/transform/scale (hold down shift while doing this to keep the picture in ratio with itself)
change the size of you pic so that you get more of it in view when u position it.
-keep doing this until your happy with what you have.
like so
Image

7.now we need to make the lines in the background
  • open a new canvas, 5 x 5 with a transparent background

  • select the pencil tool, set it to 1px and use black (#000000)
             Image

  • press Z to use the zoom tool and magnify the canvas by 1600%

  • clicking 5 times place 5 dots like this
             Image

  • next go Edit/Define Pattern
give it a name like black line and where done

8.create a new layer ctrl + shift + n, call this layer pattern and place it above the white background layer.
9.now we use the pattern we made in step 7. go
EDIT/FILL
and use these settings
Image
click ok
10. now, right click on the pattern layer and go to blending options
change to transparency of the layer to 20%

Image
nest you need to add text but that is 100% up to you.

thank you for looking. hopefully this has been useful
post your results. i would like to see what people have managed to do :D
cheers

john

thanks stu
and in answer to ur question

if you are tryingt o edit certain aspects that you had in layers before you will not be able to unless you saved the files as a PSD file.
also when re-opening the layer in photoshop see if the layer is locked. if it is you cant do certain things to it. if it is locked simply duplicate the layer and delete the locked one or unlock it, which i dnt know how to do sorry
if i can help in any other way dnt hesiate to ask

cheers

I had a feeling that i wouldn't be able to do much with it!  I don't have it saved as a PSD neither, ah well, it was only a minor edit anyway.

Thanks :)
