I've spent the last few months posting shots, not liking them, asking for advice, tweaking, posting again, not being satisfied again, tweaking again, posting again... (hoping to make it to the gallery one fine day... :P ...).
While I did make some progress, overall I feel possibly more confused than before on certain aspects of the process. There is one thing I have learned which I'm sure of though, and it's there is no easy peasy answer to the question "how do I make good screenshots".
A whole section has been created recently where you can post your stuff and ask for specific advice about this or that aspect, about how to improve a specific shot, or just read what the celebrated experts have to say about their work. That's the way to go. You can do good things even with a subpar rig if you learn a couple of tricks and are imaginative, creative or plain lucky :P.
Oh and there's another thing I have learned: if you let your disappointment at your screenies take away the fun, it's time to backtrack a bit. ;)
