Tupolev Titan: Tu-114

Postby wifesaysno » Fri Nov 30, 2012 7:46 am

Very late posting these shots, took them several months ago. Sorry for the size, my installation of GIMP is not working so Paint had to be used.

Love the look of this plane, it flew rather nice as well, excellent cockpit too.

Civilian airliner adaptation of the Tu-95 Bear bomber.

They really need to make that for FSX, it was an awesome plane to fly back In FS9

Thank you Doug!

This aircraft is one of the few airliners I like. Nothing like 4 of the most powerful turbo-props every made driving massive contra-rotating props  8-)
The sound is rather impressive with this bird.

4 derated turboprops... maximum is some 16000 HP, usually they do some 12000-15000 depending on the installation

On the Tu-114 you either have the 12000 or the 15000 HP versions.

For the sound... these roar and make the ground shake
