Washington State Mountain flying: I didn't handle it well!

Postby PM » Sun Sep 09, 2012 8:59 pm

Hi!

Thought I'd upload a few pics (or try to!) of a flight I just flew with a French GA aircraft (the Robin).

Very nice shots, my kind of flights  8-)
You'll find Packwood 55S nearby, just south of Mt.Rainier. It might be a bit easier to land on :)

Nice. I have a friend who went hunting in Alaska a few years back and he had to fly on one of the bush planes to get there. Well it turned out that their pilot was a young woman and she took off and flew them up to were they would be hunting. SPUD said they came up on the place they were going to land. He told the pilot how are you going to land in there it was like down in a bowl. About that time she said like this and he said she banked the plane to the left so hard he was staring down at the trees right below them. He said she hit the mark and they landed safely. He told her as he left that if she was their pilot on the way out he wouldn't ask any more dumb questions. She was their pilot coming out too. He said that young lady could really fly that plane.
