Hi

Files will nearly always be approved within 24 hrs - often within the hour.

This file contained no credits - files without credits are not usually genuine files.

Also this file was uploaded while I was taken away from my usual duties due to something beyond my control. Meanwhile it fell down the list ...

It looks like a great file so some details should be included (If you provide credits I can add them) .

Yes, except for the props.  But that's not unusual for an addon designed for FS9

All-in-all, a very nice addon! :)

I saw a posting about this over a SOH.... the guys there love it, and several of them are looking to make it more FSX compatible... they just wanted permissions to do so, but as Pete said, there are no credits or contact information.

Looks great and very eager to fly it! Once of the nicest looking planes ever designed!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Just to let you folks know, yes it is amazing. Very well done pack, although it will take some time to get used to how this bad boy slows down...hint: it does not!  ;D
It took me 3 times coasting around the pattern to bring the speed down after a max speed trial at mid-low weight.
Feels good though and the cockpit is wonderfully well done. I am enjoying the sound of it too, reminds me of the scale test bed Starship when I saw it fly at Oshkosh (2011).

Has anyone attempted to do any repaints for this airplane? I've been doing repaints for a long time, but I've never seen one textured the way this is. Unless I'm missing something here, there is no way to do a proper livery as there are no textures for the wings, fuselage, tail, stabs, etc. There is a texture named fuselage_T, but it only consists of small sections of the exterior (some panels). The bulk of the fuselage gets its color from a small square of color and the stripes must have been done on the model itself.

The only other explanation is that there are textures missing, but since there's no way to contact the developer, we'll probably never know for sure. Too bad really because it has gotten a very good reception on my home forum (SOH). The lack of any useable textures is unfortunate.

Too bad Matt has not found it necessary to fwd his contact information to the Admins as requested. The initial excitement over his model at SOH has dropped to zero after I discovered the lack of repaintable textures, leaving no way to do additional liveries. This may have been an oversight on his part or it was due to a lack of knowledge concerning proper texturing of a model or he simply did not want his model tampered with....not sure why.

Also, there was interest in modifying the airfile to a more "Starship like" setup, but permission to do so was being requested, and again, with no way to contact him, that project has also be scrapped.

So it appears that what started out as a very anticipated and promising model has fizzled to indifference and that's a shame because even with the problems it has it's the only Starship with a VC and with Matt's help it could have become a classic.

Anyway, it's too bad he has left with no forwarding address. Matt if you see fit to come back online. . .get some information together based on the concerns I've raised and reply please.

Great to hear back from you. The biggest concern is the lack of texturing. So my question to you would be...are you still designing aircraft/have your texturing skills increased to the point that you would consider re-texturing the Starship to make it user-friendly?

There is no payware developer interested in producing a Starship at this time. Even if they were to consider doing one, it would be a year or longer before it would ever be close to release. Your Starship is the best that both FS9 and FSX has right now, largely due to the excellent work that was done with the VC. Is there any chance that you would consider revisiting that airplane to make some changes?

Thanks again for the Starship and coming back online to respond.
