Flight not finished...

Postby Flying Trucker » Fri Aug 24, 2012 8:12 pm

Good evening all... :)

Well I am off on my first simulated camping flight I hope.

Have downloaded the Return to Misty Moorings which is Freeware and that is right up my alley... ;D

It took a little time but I think it should be worth it...simulated flights will tell... :)

Great shots, Doug 8-)

Tongass Fjords is available for FSX btw (It's by FS Addon).......and it's an excellent add on in my opinion ;)

Thanks Chuck and much appreciated for that Link.... :)

I wonder if ORBX will come out with something to include the Tongass Fjords area?

I have two (2) ORBX Scenery now for the Pacific Coast and would like to keep it all the same.... :)

OrbX will not cover the Tongass Fjords area.
In fact, they made their PFJ area so that it perfectly makes the join between Tongass and PNW. PFJ area stops exactely where Tongass starts.

I have Tongass Fjords X and honnestly it's really similar to the OrbX quality, for the landclass. And it works perfectly when FTX Central is set to North America.

I like the atmosphere in these shots Doug. The plane looks good too. I have the same problem: it's hard to find a good freeware amphibian :/ I mean, a civil one. I wouldn't take the Grumman Duck for a bush flight, for example...

Thanks Stephane...much appreciated for that information... ;)

Think Tongass Fjords will be my next purchase.

I have only started to use this ORBX Scenery so have a little exploring to do.

Been years since I flew that actual area and would like to see what shakes the old grey matter "memory"... ;D

Thanks FuturePilot, it was not this complicated in real life aviating... ;D

Our Republic Seabee made an excellent family flying camper.
We had a couple of good summers with that when I was home.
