Thanks bass...much appreciated and a fishing rod...good idea... ;)

Or, if you're pressed for time Doug, and gettin' tired of baiting hooks, there's a lot to be said for the judicious use of a small amount of high explosives to expedite a filet's journey from lake to fryin' pan! :D
I love the smell of radials in the morning!

Awesome shots!  #1 and #2 for me!

As for the livery swap, I have it happen often to me and I've actually managed to find the trigger!
I've found on mine that if I view or use the livery in the first texture folder of the aircraft's folder, I forced to use the livery in the first texture folder for whatever aircraft I pick until I shutdown the simulator.
That means for FSX that if I pick the first texture, (which is usually white, with the exception of a few aircraft with no plain white and Accelleration), I'm stuck using the plain white texture on any of the other default aircraft.

Interesting but this is the first time I've ever seen a report of this happening in FSX or any other version of MSFS. I'm constantly changing variations while messing around with textures in FSX & nothing like it has ever happened to me. As always, there must be a logical explanation.*

*The most likely one being that shot #1 was taken during a different flight from the others.

Doug (Hagar) and Club...

The fault that Club508 described is indeed a bug that can show up in FSX. Here is the explaination and fix as posted at FSDeveloper: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Texture.cfg_(FSX)

Doug (Flying Trucker)

The behavior of this bug does not seem to fit with your 'problem' as for the bug to show up requires user input in the select aircraft dialog, selecting a different aircraft texture.
But in any case, lovely screen shots.....

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks for that Dave. It might well explain Cub's problem as he mentioned FSX default aircraft. I think that the Auster in Doug's shots is an FS9 model & unlikely to use the Texture.cfg or a common texture folder. It would be easy enough to check.

Thanks Dave...much appreciated.

Hi Doug...I think it is a FS9 aircraft and the three shots were taken from the same flight.

I do believe I downloaded it here in the FSX Download Section but again it probably is a FS9 aircraft moved over to FSX... ;)

The aircraft is a repaint from one of our members here... ;)
