Had a quick flight in the basler,scenery is wilkins runway,not sure where I got it tough...

Anyways,here are the shots;

On a side note:it's a dream to land on snow and ice,it feels just right,not too slippery and not too 'normal'.

Just curious...I see shadows from the people and the buildings but not from the aircraft which almost looks like it is suspended above the ground...

As for landing DC3s on snow and ice...there are several techniques we used.
In the North where there were few runways we landed on the frozen lakes, they would line the snowmobiles along the area they wanted us to land on.
The lights from the snowmobiles would also reflect off the ice and snow and on a clear night landing on the ice the stars would also reflect in the ice giving us several problems we really didn't need or want.

Landing on a proper ice/snow packed runway with good lighting/flare pots made all the difference in the world when operating off wheel/skis...

Yeah I noticed later I had the aircraft shadows on ground set off.
