Mountain Snow Landing

Postby BlackAce » Mon Dec 12, 2011 6:14 pm

Maule M7 landing @ Cabin Creek USFS in Idaho.  Addon Scenery is from SimV, and the Maule (I run Acceleration only) is from FlightSim because SimV doesn't have it. :'(

Nice Shot!  The fog and snow makes it look good!

Oh, it's on SimV alright.  (Although in a FS2004 version only)

Oh wow, I looked it up but it wasn't there, and it is the FS9 one, and it does work really well in FSX.  See, I just got REX, and I couldn't use it so I had to use this with the Custamize your weather.

Is there anyway you could convert the M7 file to run better on FSX?

Not without the source files. You can do all the panel, sound, FDE, and texture upgrades you want, but the model itself will remain for FS9 unless the source files are obtained and exported using the FSX MDL exporter. FS9 MDLs run in FSX usually offer worse performance than FSX native MDLs, which is why I would just suggest flying the default Maule.  ;D

See, I'm running Acceleration, and don't have the M7, so that's what I was wondering.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
