1 and 3 are stunning, Doug............funny, I was flyin' around in the default 172 myself today......

https://www.simviation.com/phpupload/upl ... 537599.jpg

.........and I was wondering to myself....... why don't I fly it more often?

Seems like a decent model to me, and that's why I haven't bought a payware 172 yet........

I do wish that the  VC and gauges were better.......and some good repaints would be cool too 8-) 8-)

Nice way to start off the new year Doug. Really nice snowy shots.  Where was the airport location?

Great shots. I don't fly the C172 very much, not really my style, not that I have any. :)

Thanks Bob for the comment... :)

The airport was Orillia, Ontario and the Water Aerodrome is Lake St. John all from The Home of Flight Ontario...Freeware and very interesting site.

http://www.flightontario.com/

Just go to the Downloads and pick either FS2004 or FSX... :)

Hi Bob...

No I did not install those but I did install the British Air Commonwealth Training Program there.  (BCATP)

Lots of interesting locations there... ;)

We have a cottage 300km north of Toronto, and this looks a lot like it.  Where did you get the scenery?! :D :D :D

Hi Doug,

Those shots are quite nice, I must say I really like the colors in them. My favorite is the third one, it has a good background scenery with pleasant colors.

Overall, I think you should vary the camera distance a bit more (you know, with CTRL + '+' and CTRL + ' -'). The angle of view aren't bad though, but the first shot, for example, would have been better if the plane was closer, or not in the center of the picture. Same goes with the last shot: since there's nothing to show behing the aircraft, show the aircraft :)

Now, just to be clear, I am not saying to shoot all of your screenshots from closer to the plane. Distant shots are cool too ! But in a serie of screens, it's nice to have variation.
