Around the World - RETURNING HOME!

Postby Jayhawk Jake » Wed Nov 09, 2011 12:04 am

This is it, made it!  Did my last two flights: Juneau - Boise - Wichita.  Almost a month worth of flying, around parts of the US, across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in the CJ1.  I explored the Mediterranean, practiced my heavy flying with a 747 from Dubai to Hong Kong, and now it's done.  I've made it back to where it all began, my home and the home of Cessna - Wichita, Kansas.

Juneau left me with some GORGEOUS scenery, and rain

A sea of clouds and mountains as the sun shows the way

Seconds from a perfect landing in Boise...all this flying has made me darn good at flying the CJ1 ;)
Image

Of course, Kansas greets me with snow, high shearing gusting winds, and low visibility

Short final, strong crosswind, runway in sight

Crossing the road I take home from work.  My office is by the nosewheel, at that stoplight

It was a bumpy approach, but a reasonable landing.  Here she is, taking a well earned rest at the Citation Service Center (a beautiful, enormous building in real life btw)

Hope you've all enjoyed.  This completes this trip.  Next, I will fly a Citation Mustang as far South as I can and back

Comments welcome!

Well done great to see that Citation back home at ICT. I fly just up the road at KTOP flown to ICT and your right that Citation Service Center is massive. Always a great sight to see all those birds out front though.
