A sticky moment in my Beriev Be-200

Postby Carabosse » Wed Sep 28, 2011 5:25 pm

I love flying boats and amphibians but you do get hazards which landplanes don't have!
Happy Flying!

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Cool shot man 8-). Watch out for that boat 8-)
Bloomin' fish heads  ;D ;D ;D

? :-?
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

;D ;D ;D  Nice!  Great placing of the boat!

And speaking of land-based aircraft and water, have I told any of you about the times I found the perfect power and elevator settings to make the 747-400 glide acroos the water like a super-fast taxiing floatplane or the times I found the perfect settings to actually land a robinson R22 Beta on water?  (FS actually registered it as a landing! :D) :D :D :D
I actually have done those, and multiple times over at that! :D :D :D :D

Indeed.  The Kenmore aircraft flying into & out of Lake Union really have to figure out how to get around the boats.

Nice to see others figure out the Berievs are a good idea :-).

I thought perhaps it was a reference to those lovely people from Grimsby. But the shot doesnt look like its taken in Grimsby Dock, the water there has dead things in it. And of course, they are 'Cod heads' not 'Fish Heads' ;)

As Ozzy is ex-RAF this is probably more appropriate. Fish Head - RAF slang for anyone in a Royal Navy uniform!

In other words a sailor. ;)
