My new Beech Mentor at South County...

Postby Fozzer » Sun Sep 11, 2011 3:54 am

Hello Chums... :)...!

...just a quick screen shot of my new Beech T-34B Mentor Trainer, landed for fuel at South County Aerodrome (Q99)...>>>

Image

Not many of these "freeware" example around!
I have been spending some time adding some very useful instruments to the 2D Panel, with my FS Panel Studio.

She is excellent for use as a fast Piston Prop military trainer, and handles beautifully, now mostly privately owned!
I'm quite enjoying flying her around the Bay area at the mo'!

Paul... :)...!

P.S...Sorry about the; "PB"...Parking Brake...(Vital when in the vicinity of the Fuel Pumps!)... ;D...!

Plain or not, I like that livery. Nice, Paul. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

That Scenery is really realistic :o. Really nice
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Many thanks!

I generate/design the scenery at every Airfield I regularly visit, with the aid of my; "LAGO Flight Sim Scenery Enhancer" design program, (no longer available).

It brings all my FS 2004 airfields to life, with all sorts of objects and people, animals, etc, whenever and wherever I land...fantastic feeling!

Paul....always someone there to greet me!

Beech T-34 Mentor for FS 2004: http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... ategoryId=

The default Panel on my Mentor containing some very useful extra bits and bobs, with the aid of my "FS Panel Studio".

The Panel may not be very "realistic" but it serves its purpose, admirably...which is what matters to a Sim Flyer!... ;D...!

Paul.... 8-)....!

P.S...I have also fitted her out with some more realistic Continental 6-Cylinder engine sounds (from a Beech Baron 58)....sounds much better when using the Throttle, Propeller, and Mixture controls!

Never fear...

..I always take great care to ensure that Avgas goes into my Mentor's tanks...

....and not Jet A1... :o...!

Does fspanel studio also do VC's?

Hello Hyp... :)...1

From the Manual...
Quote:
Keep in Mind...
"While FS Panel Studio can be used to perform some editing of gauge placement in Virtual Cockpits, VCs are primarily implemented in the model.cfg file, which defines 3D geometry which cannot be edited in FSPS.".
End quote.

..but it does an excellent job on 2D cockpits (my favourite).... ;)...!

Highly recommended if you are into modifying Cockpits...(like me!)... :)...!

Ta Pete... :)...!

I did have a peek at that one, but mostly using FS 2004 I had to search around for a free-bee one for FS 2004, and the FS 2004 yellow one (above), with the Continental piston engine, fitted the bill nicely...

http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1 ... ategoryId=

If I have both models in my Hangar I just know that I will be putting AVGAS in the Turbine Prop, and Jet A1 in the Piston Prop model....

.. I just know it!... :-[...!

Paul... ;D...!
