A handful!!? Shes a pussy-cat, admittedly a bulbous fat little pussy-cat, but quite easy to 'plop' on your favourite strip... ;D

I've just had a word with Mr Giles at the local Farm, and he enquired if the 747 would likely frighten his Cows and Sheep upon landing at his Farmyard strip....

...and the Chickens may also get in a bit of a flurry?

...I didn't have the heart to tell him..... ::)...!

So short and soooo fat.  It's just so damn ugly!  I'm not saying its a bad plane, and your screenshots are great, but that thing is just ugly...no offense ;)

I'm curious who's SP you saw a few months ago, I thought most of them had found their way to the scrapyard by now, other than a few VIP or special mission birds.

Thanx for the comments ;D

The one i saw was from the Gulf IIRC, was a funny beige colour, ill have a dig round airliners.net and check. Theres about 17 left flying, with a few in storage. But yes, some have been scrapped. Iran Air fly a few and Pratt & Whitney have 2 as engine test beds.....

Nice :)

I think there were only 49 built...or something like that with a lot of fleets just having a small number mixed in with the bigger for long range routes.
Some airports saw a handful a day for many years but there was never large lines ups of the type anywhere that I saw :)
