brilliant! Looks really really good. Does it translate into the hover and vice-versa properly? I know fs2004/02 ones didnt but i think that was a limitation of the sim rather than anything else. What about viffing? I know from what ive read its a bit of a no-no and wasnt really used but would be interesting to try 

I must save up and buy/build a decent PC so i can move on to FSX! My imac just cant quite handle it. Even with all the sliders at minimums still get choppy spot views....but then i havent really devoted the time to setting it up yet.

BUT it does run fs9 with everything on MAX quite nicley, but theres no SHAR like this for fs9!

Oh yea, the transitions are great! Hovering is easily achievable. You can manually move the nozzles, so that is a big help in making any transition. I love being in a hover, pitching the nose up and swinging the nozzles back to get momentum going! Not too sure what viffing is however. lol.

Sorry VIFFING - Vectoring in Forward Flight, or using the nozzles to alter the aircraft's trajectory/speed, rather than just for the transition to and from the hover.

Much like Mavericks 'ill hit the brakes he'll fly right by' moment. 'Your gonna do WHAT???!'

Ive read quite a bit about the SHAR in action in the Falklands and its not mentioned, although its possibilities are discussed in one book when the RN Fleet Air Arm went from mighty Phantoms to this 'funny little jet'.

Obviously the FAA where used to turning and burning with the phantom, bleeding energy and running out of fuel real quick... and harrier just isnt the same.

Although in these 'meets' they do with the USAF and so on, the Harrier often came out on top versus F-15's and others, despite the fact its not a 'supersonic' aircraft.

And as we know, versus the A-4 Skyhawk and the Mirage, no Harriers were lost in combat.

Im not quite sure how you guys use the Harrier, or AV-8 is it?, Is it carrier bourne Marines/Navy and/or the USAF?

We use the AV-8 as support for us ground pounders.  Generally if we have a patrol of grunts going through a hot zone there is a pair of Harriers orbiting nearby in case we need an air strike.  We have ground based squadrons and often keep a few on LHA ships like the USS Pele Liu (LHA-5).  We will be phasing it out with the F-35 once testing is completed.
