JB-57A Canberra rocket trials

Postby nazca_steve » Thu Aug 04, 2011 11:34 pm

Hello all,

I've been doing some sounding rocket trials work with the JB-57A Canberra.  This was a modified B-57A used by the forerunner to NASA, then known as NACA, for specific use with the Jaguar sounding rocket.  Launch was done at high altitude and high angle of attack, which I've attempted to pull off and photograph at the same time (tricky!) in the last shot.  Those with an interest in early cold war USAF jets make like this...I know I do!

level release to check everything works ok:
