Thanks for looking. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Great shots Larry. The last is my pic of the lot, well done! I also love the addition to the VC, makes those long flights a little shorter, ;)

Thanks Mike. :)

I can't take credit, it's not my paint. But I do agree with you.  ;D

The repaint is by our own Titan Bow, available here at SimV.

Last shot Larry...awesome... :)

Well done on that little bugsmasher...I think we all see a great improvement in your flying ability to get into and out of those wonderful little bugsmasher fields...uphill or downhill...keep up the great work... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

It can get stressful at times, but landing in spots like that is a lot of fun.

No, there are windows. But I had the one on the port side down and the door/window on the starboard side open, hence the fresh air comment.

Good morning all... :)

[quote][Thanks Doug.

The secret to not getting stressed Larry is:
-Practice...Practice...Practice
-Short Field Landings and Takeoff Exercise and Practice
-Runway Obstruction...taking off over an obstacle Practice
-Relax...Relax...Relax
-Let the aeroplane do all the work...you just keep the nose pointed to the touchdown spot...one hand only on the stick or wheel...talk to the aeroplane...(I know it sounds corny but it works...trust me... ;D)

Oh and one other thing that is very hard to visualize but if you can do it half the battle of aviating (coordinating your control inputs to have the aeroplane do what you want it to do) is.....do not sit in the aircraft (and it does not matter what type or if it is a helicopter) but strap it on... ;)

The old saying goes:
If you can build a bicycle you can build an aeroplane...
Well...
It also stands true...
If you can ride a bicycle you can ride an aeroplane

Think about that for a moment...

Remember when you did turns on the bicycle/motorcycles and showed off your skills a little...

You do it the same way with an aircraft...lean into the turn (even on the simulator)...be amazed how much flying an aeroplane and riding a bike have in common and how fast those skills come back... ;)

Our family does a lot of horse back riding, not so much the old girl and I now...heck to be honest it has been several decades since either of us have sit/sat a horse however many of the best aces and aviators during the wars came from the horse units/cavalry as the machine gun made cavalry charges obsolete and deadly for horse and rider.

The cavalry man usually made the better aviator because he could shoot on the gallop, maneuver on the gallop and he and his horse were one piece of kit...just like you on your police motorcycle or bicycle... ;)

Summing up Larry and the rest of you, put a little body motion into that flight simulator chair of yours and relax...your sim flying will be much better...now I want you all to go for a bike ride now... ;D

Sorry to get so dang winded again Larry... ::)
