SF's Lombard Street's Grandad!

Postby Skunkworks » Sun May 22, 2011 12:11 pm

[color=#0000ff][size=12]A road leading to Lac des Dix, Switzerland!
Like the title suggests, looks like the crookedest street in the US had a Swiss grandpa!

Wow !!
Very impressive, once more.
One remark though: I have noticed that when you make those screenshots with photoreal sceneries, you tend to focus only on the scenery, as if the plane were a useless obstacle. You should try to choose a more interesing view angle that would shot both the plane AND the scenery. What do you think ?

Hi Greg...yes you are right...that is one crooked road... ;D

One would wonder why they would build a road like that until I noticed flying in Northern Ontario that a lot of it had to do with the lumber and mining companies.

They used to be called Forestry Roads but not sure what the term for them is now...

Well done on the pictures... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Thanks Doug!  :)

We have quite a few Forest Roads in the High Sierra
mountains, especially through the passes going into
Nevada from Calif.  :)

Like Chuck said, beautiful to drive or 10 times the fun on a bike!  :D

Awesome shots Greg. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
