Great shots, I really like #1 8-)
May I pass on some good advice that was given to me?
This is your screenshot with some of the empty foreground cropped out.

Now there isn't hardly any empty space in your shot and since it's smaller overall it wouldn't  have to be compressed quite so much ;)
