I would prefer two versions as well. Winglets are nice, but I prefer the conventionnal version
To do that, you just need to duplicate the \model\ folder, for example Model and Model.winglet. Both will have the same VC file, but each will have its own exterior file.
In the aircraft.cfg, the two planes will be differentiated by the "model=" line.
The normal model will be declared as usual: "model=".
The winglets model will be declares like this: "model=winglets".
As for the textures, I'm pretty sure both models can share the same textures, can't they ?
