I have an old, low end system... P4 3.0 with just 1 gig of ram. However nearly everything is turned up in the settings to get good clean screenies. I checked some shots I took the other night, and mine do not have the triangles. Could it be something with the texture mapping?
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Yes, that shows the "shadowed" color of those polys, that made me think about a "normals" problem.

What I'm trying to say is that the color of those two triangles is the same color than the rest of the plane body in the shadow (not illuminated by the sun).
So it seems that, no matter the orientation of the plane, those two triangles are displayed just like if they were always in the shadow, like if the sun had no effect on them.

it's just the same. Sorry.

I'm going to remove all the specular maps of the fuselage  ,Its the only way to figure it out ,but I'm sure its something with the special specular maps of the FSX-SDK things going on ,Ill send it via pM  ;)
