Is that done with multi-player or that thing that allows you to set the time back a bit and fly along with yourself? Is that "thing" fraps?

This was a default FS9 AI aircraft, all I did was find him, fly up next to him and just fly along side of him  ;)

Fraps is to record a video.....I think your thinking of fs recorder?

should have had a hard time staying next to him with the F/A-18? I tried fo intercept a cessna caravan AI the other day, with the Cheetah D, and could'nt stay next to him. Spoilers out, high AoA, and balancing with thrust I could hardly do it. Then  - on the other hand, The F/A 18 have a lower stall speed plus flaps.

I once saw a picture in a newspaper of a Dutch F-16 intercepting a caravan-ish airplane, and it didn't look easy. His AoA was through the roof and it had extended everything the pilot could think of to slow down, except the gear I guess. They have to train that sort of thing regularly because fighters aren't built that way.

Here it is. It's in Dutch, but the picture is on the front page anyway.

That "thing" you're looking for is nammed "FS Recorder".
It does not set the time back. It records your flight, and then it can play it as an AI plane, so that you can fly with yourself, exactely like the ghost car in a car racing game :)

Very nice shots tcco94, it must have been a bit difficult to follow such a slow plane, right ?

Your Mooney appears to have bit of nose up attitude too which seems hardly likely flying formation with an FA18  :).
