Palau Weather

Postby patchz » Tue Jun 15, 2010 9:21 pm

Palau seemed to be having a spot of weather.

This one scared the graham crackers out of all of us. (10 points if you know the movie reference)

Image

Guess it scared the engines too.

We were able to get the fire out, restart, and continue on to our destination.

Guess the weather is not quite through with the fireworks display.

Thanks for looking.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

what is the best way to be able to capture lightening in FS?  It flashes too quickly for me to be able to capture it.

Great set!  At first, I thought the fire in shot 2 was from the lightning in shot 1.  ;D  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Another tip!

I like to speed the sim up, so that there is lightning flashing constantly.
Go into slew mode and just keep hitting the pause button.
You get one almost every time, and then it's just a matter of picking the ones you want.

Also, when you finally pause on one you like, keep it paused, and you can adjust your time of day & weather conditions, and the lightning will remain in place, as long as you leave it paused.  ;)
