Default Boeing 777-300 repaint

Postby thomasmendozajr » Sun May 23, 2010 9:11 pm

this is one of my best repaints for the Default 777-300 Based on a 777-200 Boeing. The reason for making this repaint is to make an update for the default Boeing 777-300 and convert it to its real Model name Boeing 777-200 Let me know what you think about the repaint Thank you. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/319/airplane2c.jpg

I'M still in development of these repaints but I hope you like them :) will be out for download soon !!!

Please read the rules for posting screen-shots and uploading to SimV at our upload link. Thank you.

Nice, but which sim is this?
I don't think FSX or FS2004 have a default 777, so I'm guessing X-plane? :-?

It's gotta be FS2004. It has a default 777.  ;)

Yes It is the Default 777-300 From FS2004 I'm currently working on American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Korean Air, US Airways, KLM Airlines, Japan Airlines, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Fedex Cargo, UPS, Logistic Cargo, Air France, Altalia Airlines, And Delta Airlines. Will have more screen shots on the updates ;)

Ok, I don't have FS2004, so I didn't know it had a 777.

Yep, it sure does. It's hardly worth doing the updates to FSX, as the visual model is quite bad.

thomasmendozajr, your latest screenshot is cool, but it doesn't meet the forums requirements of 1024 pixels wide.

the quality of the model is do by the texture Compression. I will have some DDS Textures available for the model that has been added to FSX. Be warned though do not try to add DDS textures to FS2004 the FS2004.exe engine dose not support DDS Textures. just BMP. but for FSX I will have converted DDS Textures that dose work for FSX. and that will make them look more softer to the game lighting now for the Bloom effect I cant promise any good bloom effect do to the complexity of these textures I am hopeing to have them all tested and garanteed to work fully in both FS2004 and FSX :) thank you.

Actually, I mean in general, the jet was modeled poorly because I have FS9 and have flown it. I put it into FSX and it looked even worse. The project opensky 777 is great though. I recommend you take a look at it.

yes I have seen the Project Open sky 777-200/300 and yes it is great. but Ive been useing the FS2004 777-300 for some testing, and just last year I was able to figure out how to use different file extensions such as .BMP, .DDS and so fourth. and I know what your talking about when you say how the model is poorly made for FSX but Once I have added the DDS textures to the Model it smoothed it out and gave it a better quality look for instance if you have downloaded my repaints for the 757-200 from open sky you will see what I am talking about. I have also tested the dds on all my models and they worked Successfully. and all of them.

I will have the update out for who ever wants it in about a week. I will keep you Updated.

It's not a texture/display thing that is the main concern...the default 777 is just a very, very inaccurate model in shape and flight dynamics. :-[

Okay the good news is I went through Boeing.com to find out the true specs of the 777-200 and yes your right the flight dynamic's where way off even fr the 777-300 Microsoft had the aircraft over 120,000 Pounds or something like that from the real 777-300 but I did configure it to its true weight capacity also the Trust levels where to low witch explains the late take off on large runways Microsoft had the static thrust at 73,000 Pounds  when the real static thrust for the 777-200/300 is 83,000 -97,000 Pounds of thrust. I have also fixed this for the aircraft. the visual part of the aircraft all I can really see wrong is that it was modeled as a 777-200 and that is is just a tad big for its scale and the landing gear is to high. other then that there's not a hole lot wrong with it.now open sky 777-200's are okay but even they have problems like the landing gear doesn't turn and I don't care about the animated objects that automatically appear especially in FSX. but as for the default model of the 777-300 its pretty good the new update will be available tomorrow for FS2004 for now.
