Mount Hotham, dawn flight

Postby matthewdev » Mon Mar 29, 2010 6:33 am

So I finally managed to download AussieX airports (all 2GB+ of it!) and went for a fly in the new T-6 Texan by Warwick Carter and Dave Eckert (available here at simviation), it was quite a good experience!

Here I am starting my engine early in the morning at Mount Hotham, this is one of those few aircraft that the designers have made sure you have to start it properly as it starts with its fuel switches off  :)

Next I try to get myself lined up with the runway, a task which can be challenging for me with certain tail draggers!

Finally I end up at... Um... well I can't actually remember but it is an airport in Victoria!

I must say I'm impressed with AussieX, though it has a couple of issues with my Tasmanian sceneries :( Not too hard to fix though and I have made a short document explaining the best way to have them work together alongside each other. If anyone has issues with running my Tasmanian Bush Strips and Hobart Airport alongside AussieX let me know and I will post a link to the help :)

I have both AussieX and your bushstrips and they seem to work fine.
Nice shots.

It's freeware from Deltasim, see Applepie's guide (search in the SimV library). They come with a yacht, but can be used with other aircraft.

[color=#000000]Nice shots. I think that may be the best looking Texan (sorry I met a girl once in Corpus Christi that was better looking) ::) ;D
T6 I have ever seen.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Follow this link here: http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=69&page=15&mark=7971

It requires a adding some entries to the lights section of an aircrafts cfg, it explains it pretty well in the tutorial though! It doesn't have the coordinates for the Texan so you can use these ones that I made:

light.7 = 6,
